'Hawks during Springtime

I am pumped. We've already ordered our 2008 Football Season Ticket package and are ready to cheer on the 'Hawks at Memorial Stadium this fall.

The Spring football game was held on Monday night. Since it was moved from the previous Saturday to Monday because of weather-related issues, I was unable to attend. I did watch it on Metro Sports (one of the best channels for area-sports coverage) that night.

The team definitely had its moments. Todd Reesing through a couple of interceptions and one of those was stolen away by Patrick Resby. That kid has got some speed on him. I think he will do pretty well replacing the thieving skills of Aqib Talib on defense. Reesing also connected with Kerry Meier several times as well and made great gains!

The Blue team won 17-3, but it was an experience that identified weaknesses and areas of opportunity. With Mangino at the healm, we'll get this ship on course for another good season.

Back-to-back bowl appearances would be something good. Back-to-back BCS bowl appearances would be better. Let's go for it though and get back-to-back BCS Championship wins! Rock Chalk!
